Jyotish is the eyes of the Vedas and it is part of our culture from time memorial. In Mahabharata, Karna told Lord Krishna about the the planetary positions at the time of the war.

There is lot of confusion and misinformation on various terms of Jyotish, like Kuja Doshas, Sade Saati, Rahu Kalam Kal Sarpa Dosha and various other questions, which people ask and do not know the answer.
